Selfie is an action thriller film directed by debutant director Mathi Maran. Produced by DG Film Company. The film stars G. V. Prakash Kumar and Gautham Vasudev Menon in lead roles. Varsha Bollamma, Vidya Pradeep, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Sangili Murugan, and Subramaniam Siva in supporting characters. The music of the film was composed by G.V.Prakash Kumar himself, with cinematography handled by Vishnu Rangasamy. Editing done by S. Elayaraja. The film was released in theatres on 1 April 2022. The film received positive reviews from critics and the audience and became a commercial success with praise for the story, dialogues, and GV Prakash Kumar and Gautham Vasudev Menon’s performance.
It has been 14 days since its theatrical release and it has been announced that the leading OTT company, AHA Tamil OTT platform will launch the film “Selfie”. Aha has been buying and releasing hit films in Tamil including the recently aired OTT “Writer”. The official announcement was made by Sony Music on social media.
