Ranbir Kapoor Addresses Runtime Worries, Hopes Audiences Won’t Panic

Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna have now reacted to the 3-hour, 21-minutes runtime of their upcoming movie Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor are preparing for the launch of their forthcoming film “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Recently, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) announced that the film has received an ‘A’ certificate, and it runs for 3 hours and 21 minutes. In a recent conversation, both Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna supported the film’s runtime, emphasizing that it is entirely justified by the content.

Ranbir Kapoor on the lengthy runtime of Animal

During a recent press conference in Bengaluru, Ranbir Kapoor addressed concerns about the runtime of the film “Animal.” Kapoor stated, “We’re not releasing such a long film out of arrogance. We believe the story needed this time to be presented to the audience in the best possible way.”

He went on to mention that the team had seen an even longer version of the film, clocking in at 3 hours and 49 minutes, which was also enjoyable. Kapoor acknowledged director Sandeep’s efforts to trim the length, emphasizing the need to strike a balance. Kapoor expressed his hope that the audience wouldn’t be alarmed by the runtime, urging them to come and experience cinema at its best.

Rashmika Mandanna reacts to the runtime of Animal

Rashmika Mandanna shared her perspective, emphasizing that “Animal” features intricate characters, each with a depth that could warrant a film of its own. She explained that delving into their psyches requires ample time, expressing confidence in the film’s strength and dismissive of concerns about its runtime.

Building on Mandanna’s remarks, Ranbir Kapoor clarified that “Animal” falls under the genre of a family crime drama rather than a straightforward action film. He highlighted the diverse range of emotions the movie encapsulates, assuring that every character, regardless of size, contributes to the captivating complexity of the narrative. Kapoor reassured that the team has been mindful not to bore the audience, and he concluded by stating that “Animal” is set to release on December 1, 2023.
