12th Man is a Malayalam language mystery thriller film directed by Jeethu Joseph. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor through Aashirvad Cinemas. Screenplay by K.R.Krishna Kumar. The film stars Mohanlal, Unni Mukundan, Shivada, Anusree, Anu Sithara, Saiju Kurup, Rahul Madhav, Aditi Ravi, Priyanka Nair, Leona Lishoy, Anu Mohan, Chandhunadh, Nandu and Pradeep Chandran. The background score was composed by Anil Johnson.
The trailer of the film 12th man has been released and it is well received. This is the fourth film between Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph after Drishyam. When a group of college friends and their companions (11 members) go on a trip to the woods, they take expect a journey of everything except that being trapped in a terrible situation. When they are having a party, Mohanlal joins them as the 12th man as an unexpected guest. All of these events take place overnight. Their holiday turns into a locked room thriller where each of their secrets is revealed.
The film is scheduled to be released on 20 May 2022 on Disney+ Hotstar.
