The second season of the Korean thriller show Squid Game was announced on social media by Netflix. The first season of the Korean show was released last year and was a huge success worldwide. A teaser of season 2 was dropped by the streaming site Netflix on Sunday. There was a message from the clip creator, writer, director and executive producer Hwang Dong-Hyuk. It sent out details of which characters are returning for a second year tour.
“Red light… GREENLIGHT! Squid Game is officially coming back for Season 2!” Read the text with the clip containing a brief animation of the gigantic animatronic toy featuring heavily in the ”Squid Game” pilot.
Hwang said, “It took 12 years to revive the first season of Squid Game last year. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular series on the Netflix series. As the writer, director and producer of Squid Game, he is a huge hit with fans around the world. Thank you for watching and enjoying our show.”
