Agent, directed by Surender Reddy and starring Akhil Akkineni, now has a new release date.
The spy thriller’s April 28 release date has been postponed repeatedly, but it will now finally be seen this summer. Akhil announced the news on social media with the caption, “Brace yourselves… The WILD ONE is coming to theatres on April 28th!” For the pan-India release, the producers intend to capitalise on the festive season.
Akhil is shown in the action-packed scene being bound to a chair and wearing a mask over his face. He responds, “Osama Bin Laden, Gaddafi, and Hitler,” when asked to identify the organisation he works for. Additionally, he refers to himself as a “wild sale” and does actually appear wild due to the blood on his face. Akhil appears to be taking on a role that he has never had before. He even got a makeover for the movie, adding muscle and growing his hair out.
Sakshi Vaidya and Mammootty will both play the main characters in Agent. The movie’s cinematographer and soundtrack composer are Rasool Ellore and Hip Hop Tamizha. The narrative was written by Vakkantham Vamsi, with Avinash Kolla serving as the art director and Naveen Nooli as the editor. Along with Telugu, the movie will also be released in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
