Anushka Sharma won’t do films ‘to stay in the game’, reveals why she did Chakda Xpress and managed as new mom

One of Bollywood’s most adored actresses, Anushka Sharma, recently talked about her daughter Vamika. In January 2021, Anushka and Virat Kohli, who were married in 2017, had their first daughter. In order to safeguard their daughter’s privacy, the couple has been successful in keeping their daughter out of the spotlight. Anushka recently discussed how she manages her personal and professional lives in an interview. She shot Chakda Xpress last year; it was her first assignment following Vamika’s arrival.

Anushka discussed her demanding shoot schedule and how she balanced work and her time with Vamika in an interview with Grazia India. She claimed that Chakda Xpress was filmed in 2022. She promised to spend time with Vamika when the shoot was over. She used to give her food, go about her nightly ritual, and fall asleep just after Vamika. She continued by saying she ran out of time to accomplish anything else. Anushka revealed: “I’m fine with making more movies, but only if they are worthwhile and make sense. I’m absolutely clear that I don’t want to make movies merely to stay in the game.”

The Zero actress expressed her happiness at her munchkin becoming a “confident individual” and that she is proud of him for doing so. Anushka stated that she believes she has grown far more secure as a person while talking about herself. Said she, “Caring for another person and prioritising the child in all decisions is a really genuine thing. I want to emphasise how crucial it is for your youngster to have a connection with this.” Anushka said that she appreciates being hands-on and taking care of things for her baby. Vamika and her share a “really unique” relationship, she said.

Anushka recently made a guest cameo in the film Qala with Tripti Dimri and Babil Khan. The next project for her is Chakda Xpress, in which she will portray Jhulan Goswami. The movie will shortly be available on Netflix.
