During lunch on the first day of the second Test against India, Bangladesh scored 82 for two. In the morning session, Bangladesh lost both of their starters, Najmul Hossain Shanto (24), and Zakir Hasan (15). The wickets for India were taken by pacers Jaydev Unadkat (1/20) and Ravichandran Ashwin (1/30). Mominul Haque (23 not out) and captain Shakib Al Hasan (16 not out) were on the crease at the time of the interval.
