The IPL series has started moving towards the play-off round. All the teams are fighting for the top four in the standings and are eager to advance to the play-off round. Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has announced the dates and venues for the play-offs.
Accordingly, the first qualifying round (Qualifier-1) between the top two teams in the standings is scheduled to take place on May 24 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The eliminator between the 3rd and 4th place teams in the next table is scheduled to take place on May 25 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The second qualifier (Qualifier-2) between the losing team in the first qualifying round and the winner in the eliminator will be played on May 27 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The final between the winners of the first and second qualifying rounds will be played on May 29, 2022 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It is noteworthy that the BCCI has already announced that these play-off matches will be held with 100% spectators.
