Along for the Ride is an American drama film written and directed by Sofia Alvarez. It is based on the novel of the same name “Along for the ride” by Sarah Dessen. The film stars Emma Pasarow, Belmont Cameli, Kate Bosworth, Laura Kariuki, Andie MacDowell and Dermot Mulroney. Cinematography was done by Luca Del Puppo. Editing by Justin Chan. Music for the film was composed by Beach House.
In the summer before college, Auden meets mysterious Eli, a fellow insomniac. While sleeping in the seaside town of Colby, the two undertake a night search to help Auden enjoy the fun, carefree teenage life, what she never knew it before.
The film is adaptation of Sarah Dessen’s 2009 novel Along for the Ride, in which the rights had been picked up by Netflix. Actress Emma Pasarow was confirmed as portraying the novel’s protagonist. Belmont Cameli who played the role of Auden in this film would play opposite as her love interest, Eli.
Along for the Ride is scheduled to be released on Netflix on May 6, 2022.
