A.R. Rahman released the Chess Olympiad welcome song “Welcome to Chennai”. For the first time in the history of India, The 44th Chess Olympiad will be held in Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu. The tournament will be held from 28 July 2022 to 10 August 2022. More than 2000 male and female chess players from 186 countries will participate in this tournament.
The shooting of the song related to the Chess Olympiad competition was held on 07 July 2022 at “Napier Bridge” Chennai. A.R. Rahman has composed the music for this song which was directed by Vignesh Shivan. Actor Rajinikanth released the teaser of this song on 15 July 2022. In this case, music composer A.R. Rahman released the Chess Olympiad welcome song “Welcome to Chennai”. The song features Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin, A.R. Rahman and the Chess Legend Grand Master Viswanathan Anand.
