David Beckham’s Son Romeo Joins Brentford Reserves On Loan

The midfielder, who was formerly a member of Arsenal’s youth team, has spent the last several months working out with his new team to stay in shape while the season is off in America.

Romeo Beckham, the 20-year-old son of former England captain David Beckham, has joined Brentford’s reserve squad in the Premier League on a season-long loan from Inter Miami II. The midfielder, who spent time at the Arsenal system as a youngster, has been working out with his new team over the past several months to stay in shape while playing in the off-season in America. He said, “I’m really proud and very glad to be here.” “I’m thrilled to come back and see what I can achieve. It was a wonderful season (in the USA), but there were a lot of ups and downs.

“I first came here to stay active during the off-season. I’ve never been more thrilled than when I had the chance to come on loan here.”

After joining Fort Lauderdale CF in 2021, Beckham changed the name of the reserve team to Inter Miami II last year.

He had a brief appearance for the first team of Inter Miami, whom his father co-owns, in a July friendly match against Barcelona.

The Brentford B team’s manager, Neil MacFarlane, said: “Romeo has been an absolute joy for us ever since he joined us.

“In order to train with us during their offseason, he came to us from Inter Miami. Romeo has put in an unbelievable amount of effort and has fully embraced the squad and culture he has grown to be an integral part of.”
