Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the First wicket-keeper in the world to score maximum number of catches (dismissals) in T20 matches. Next to Dhoni, wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik shares the second place.
The 15th season of the IPL is currently in full swing. With just a few matches left to qualify for the play – off round, each team is on a winning streak. The five-time champions Mumbai Indians, who have already missed out on the play-offs, are looking for a consolation win in the remaining matches.
Accordingly, Dhoni has set a new record by taking 200 wickets in T20 matches globally. Former India captain M.S. Dhoni, who made his T20 debut against South Africa in 2006, has so far taken 200 wickets in 347 T20 matches. Similarly, Indian batsman, wicketkeeper and currently Royal Challengers player Dinesh Karthik has taken 182 wickets in 299 T20 matches.
Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal, who is ranked 3rd, has taken 172 wickets in 282 T20 matches. Also, Dhoni has taken a record 129 wickets in 168 matches in the IPL alone. This includes 39 stumpings.
