Sivakarthikeyan knows the mood of today’s fans and is careful in choosing his films and characters. Sivakarthikeyan plays the role of Chakaravarthi who finds his favorite and wants to conquer it. His character is the real life of many young people today. They change their lives to suit their parents desire more than they like and eventually immerse themselves in it. Sivakarthikeyan scores a little higher than his friend and love, who is afraid of his father’s strict behaviour.
Priyanka Arulmohan as Sivakarthikeyan’s girlfriend. There was not much love story in college between the two. But, it is that love that happens at school in flashback story that makes it cute and enjoyable. Priyanka Arulmohan is so suitable as a school student and a college student.
S.J. Surya is the professor who controls the college even though he is not the principal of the college. Sivakarthikeyan’s friends are Balasaravanan, R.J. Vijay and Sivaangi. They are responsible for the vibrancy of the film and have done it right. Samuthirakani has lived as a normal father. The climax has an eye-popping scene for many. Adhira Pandilakshmi, who plays Samuthirakani’s wife, comes to mind in that one scene. Soori is just a character in the film. More attention not given to him.
Songs in Anirudh music are kind of firecrackers. The background music is also noteworthy. The whole story takes place in college. So there is always a crowd in the film. Baskaran has managed everything and done the cinematography.
It has been a long time since we saw a lively college story in Tamil cinema. This film has overcome that shortcoming. Debutant director Cibi Chakaravarthi understands very well what kind of film today’s youth will appreciate if given. The film manages to entertain as well qas inform, with scenes and verses corresponding to them.
