Highlights from the first ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand: Mohammad Rizwan led the way with an unbeaten 77-run innings, while Babar Azam added 66 as Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 256 runs with 6 wickets remaining on Monday at the National Stadium in Karachi. Earlier, the hosts were able to stop the Kiwis at 255 for 9 in 50 overs thanks to Naseem Shah’s second five-wicket haul in the format. When given the opportunity to bat first, New Zealand continued to lose wickets often and failed to give Pakistan a challenging target. In addition to Naseem, rookie spinner Usama Mir claimed two victims. Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Wasim Jr. both secured one wicket.
