India Women Under 19s vs New Zealand Under 19s Highlights – IND-W U19 vs NZ-W U19 Highlights India win by 8 wickets

India’s U-19 heroes have a history. With a decisive 8-wicket victory over New Zealand, Shafali Verma & Co. have guaranteed their place in the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup final. With three wickets, Parshavi Chopra set the tone by holding New Zealand to 107/9. Shweta Sehrawat hammered an unbeaten 45-ball 61 in response, helping the team chase down 108 in 14.2 overs.

India batters took merely 86 balls to help their side into the finals, after the spinners had tied down New Zealand in the first innings.

By dismissing the New Zealand openers in the first three overs, Mannat Kashyap (1/21) and Titas Sadhu (1/17) proved that India’s choice to field was a successful one.

At 5/2, New Zealand’s innings began when keeper Izzy Gaze (26 from 22) launched a counterattack in response.

Parshavi Chopra, India’s game-winning player from the previous round (3/20), eliminated Gaze just as the White Ferns appeared to be regaining control of the match. Additionally, the Indian spinners controlled the batting side in the middle overs under Chopra’s guidance.

Georgia Plimmer (35 from 31) remained competitive up until the 17th over, giving her team’s total hope. However, following Plimmer’s resignation, New Zealand could only manage a dismal 107/9.

The greatest economy numbers (1.75) of any Indian bowler came from the captain, Shafali Verma (1/7), during the course of her four overs.

India’s openers took advantage of some loose bowling from New Zealand pacers to add a quickfire 33 in 3.2 overs to get the chase off to a blistering start.

The brilliant Shweta Sehrawat (61* from 45) then took over after Verma (10 from 9) was finally dismissed thanks to a superb catch from Plimmer.

She assisted India in getting near to the mark with the assistance of Soumya Tiwari (22 from 26), who played a careful yet confident partnership of 62 runs. The lone New Zealand bowler to record a wicket was Anna Browning (2/18), who helped India surpass New Zealand’s score in the 15th over.

The winner of Sunday’s ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup final between England and Australia will play India.
