In a thrilling encounter at the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup, India A secured a dominant 8-wicket victory against Pakistan A to claim the top spot in Group B. Chasing a target of 206 runs set by Pakistan A, India A displayed a remarkable batting performance. Sai Sudharsan played a sensational unbeaten innings, smashing a century with 104* off 110 balls, while Nikin Jose contributed with a solid 53 runs off 64 balls to steer the team to victory in just 36.4 overs.

The foundation for India A’s successful chase was laid by their bowlers, led by Rajvardhan Hangargekar, who proved to be a standout performer. Hangargekar’s outstanding bowling spell resulted in impressive figures of 5/42, causing significant damage to Pakistan A’s batting line-up. He started off with a double-wicket maiden and returned to dismantle the tail, showcasing his remarkable skills on the field. Supporting him, spinner Manav Suthar also played a crucial role, claiming three wickets to restrict Pakistan A to a total of 205 runs.

Pakistan A’s Qasim Akram put up a valiant effort with a notable knock of 48 runs, which played a key role in taking his team beyond the 200-run mark. However, their efforts were not enough to withstand India A’s dominant performance.

With this victory, India A secured a spot in the semi-finals and will face the runner-up of Group A, Bangladesh A, in a highly anticipated match led by Yash Dhull. Meanwhile, Pakistan A will clash with Group A winners Sri Lanka A in the other semi-final in their quest for a spot in the final showdown of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
