Elephant Whisperers won the first award for Best Documentary Short Film, while RRR’s Naatu Naatu won the second for Best Original Music. The moment is presently being celebrated by all the supporters, and social media is already humming with pride. Several Bollywood stars, like Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt, are also celebrating this significant victory for India, and we wager that every Indian will wake up today beaming.
India wins big at Oscars 2023
The Oscar for Best Original Song went to SS Rajamouli’s RRR for the song Naatu Naatu. Composer M.M. Keeravaani and Chandrabose appeared on stage to accept the honour. The following prize was given to Elephant Whisperers for Best Documentary Short Film, and Guneet Monga and Kartiki Gonsalves appeared on stage to accept it. As Guneet accepted the medal, we could see tears in her eyes. This movie was released in December of last year and centres on the endearing tale of a South Indian couple and an orphan elephant.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Priyanka Chopra in the first story she shared, had a clip of the makers Guneet Monga and Kartiki Gonsalves heading to the stage to receive the award. She wrote, “Yaaaaaay! Goo @elephantwhisperermovie @guneetmonga @kartikigonsalves.” In the next clip she shared was team RRR winning for the song Naatu Naatu.
