IPL 2022 Final To Be Held In Ahmedabad, 2 Playoffs In Kolkata With Full Crowd Capacity
The last two IPL seasons have been played with or without spectators on the field due to the spread of Corona virus infection. But the opening matches of this IPL season are 25% of spectators, 50% of spectators are allowed on the grounds after the corona infection subsided.
The four venues used so far for league matches are in Maharashtra, including Wankhede Stadium and Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and MCA stadium in Pune. In this case, 100% spectators are to be allowed in the IPL play-off matches.
The play-offs are to be played in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator match will take place at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Qualifier 2 and Grand Finale will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. “As for the IPL knockout stage matches, It will be held in Kolkata and Ahmedabad with 100 percent spectators inside the garden” said BCCI President Saurav Ganguly.
