PTV Sports was questioned by a Pakistani Twitter user.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is almost over, and the semi-final matches are about to begin. The championship will be decided by four teams.
Throughout the event, fans around the world were able to watch coverage of every game. However, it appears that Pakistan TV, which is broadcasting live coverage of the games, does not want its audience to hear other countries’ national anthems, particularly India’s.
A Pakistani Twitter user questioned PTV Sports on Twitter, writing, “The Indian national anthem is being censored by PTV. Why is PTV used?!?! “.
In the two images shared, an advertisement can be seen on PTV, while the Indian national anthem is being played on Ten Sports.
When it comes to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, host nation Australia will not be present to defend their T20 World Cup crown after being eliminated at the Super 12s stage due to an inferior Net Run Rate (NRR).
Even South Africa, which led the points table for more than half of the tournament in Group 2, lost to the Netherlands in their final group game, giving Pakistan or Bangladesh a chance to advance to the semis.
It is now down to New Zealand, England, India, and Pakistan to compete for the title.
