‘Jailer’ review: Blockbuster action entertainer from Rajinikanth – Nelson earns early Praise

‘Jailer’ review:: Rajinikanth’s Performance Leaves Fans Awestruck in “Jailer” Movie – Japanese Couple Travels from Osaka to Chennai for a Special Screening

Jailer, the highly anticipated movie starring the legendary Rajinikanth, has caused a wave of excitement among his devoted fan base as it marks his triumphant return to the silver screen. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner, the film has garnered immense attention even before its release, evident in its impressive pre-booking figures in India.

The film has made its presence felt across a staggering 900 theaters in Tamil Nadu, showcasing the massive anticipation that surrounds it. Rajinikanth shares the screen with acclaimed actors like Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan, and Yogi Babu, making it a star-studded affair. The musical score of Jailer, composed by the talented Anirudh Ravichander, adds another layer of excitement to the overall cinematic experience.

Before its release, Jailer has already achieved a remarkable pre-booking total of Rs 14.18 crore in India, as reported by the well-known industry tracker Sacnilk. This impressive sum comes from the sale of 5,91,221 tickets for the Tamil version of the film, contributing Rs 12.82 crore to the total revenue. The Telugu variant of the movie has also performed admirably, generating Rs 1.35 crore through advance bookings, with 77,554 tickets sold. These combined figures result in an astonishing 6,68,775 tickets being snapped up by eager audiences. The Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors’ Association has further fueled the fervor by urging all theaters in the state to showcase the movie, underscoring the widespread anticipation.

The film not only marks Rajinikanth’s return to the cinematic world after a hiatus of two years but also signifies his debut collaboration with director Nelson Dilipkumar. Nelson is known for his directorial ventures like Kolamaavu Kokila, Doctor, and Beast, making this collaboration even more intriguing and promising in terms of cinematic excellence.

The anticipation surrounding the movie has reached such heights that offices in Chennai and Bengaluru have announced a holiday for their employees on the film’s release day, August 10, as reported by the Economic Times. This phenomenon underscores Rajinikanth’s immense popularity and his ability to turn a movie release into a festive event. As one netizen aptly put it, “Other actors release their movies during Holidays. Rajinikanth releases a movie and it becomes a holiday.” This sentiment encapsulates the unique aura that Rajinikanth brings to the cinematic world, creating an unmatched level of excitement and celebration.
