Jana Gana Mana review: Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu give stellar performances, but the film has some flaws

A college lecturer was killed and his body cremated, and the incident has led to a major public outcry. Police officer Sajjan Kumar is in charge of registering the culprits and his efforts to enforce it are not as easy as a regular investigation. The film shows who the real culprits behind this act are and how their machinations unfold.

Cold-blooded killings masked as police encounters are not a novelty in our country and are hailed as immediate justice. Jana gana Mana starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead, the makers show why and how fake encounters are doing a disservice to the society and how politicians manipulate our emotions through the same.

Professor Saba Mariam (Mamta Mohandas) was found dead and her body was cremated after being raped, according to media reports. Police officer Sajjan Kumar (Suraj Venjaramoodu) is on a mission to arrest the four suspects behind the incident. Continue the investigation and investigation. What Sajjan seeks at one point in the investigation sets the stage for the whole story.

The film certainly had an impact on many real life incidents, especially the 2019 Hyderabad gang rape case and the unjust execution that followed the incident. How do we each make judgments based on what the problem is with violating police law, how people are or what they wear? They are all, with a well-knit story. Political parties have long used police awareness as a tool to manipulate the emotions of the people and get votes against them. Suraj and Prithviraj Sukumaran have done a lot of justice to their respective roles and the crew behind the film deserves a lot of applause, such as If there is a rape every 15 minutes in this country and we are shocked about only a few of them, who is to blame? Why is one’s death more important than one’s death? The film well illustrates why we behave and the hypocrisy behind it.

However, when watching such an impressive film, it is difficult not to notice the very poor quality of the Malayalam verses running in the theater, the title is full of misspellings. If there is one thing that can be fixed in the upcoming screenings, it should help the film a lot more as it has many non-Malayalam verses.

For those who like a good political crime thriller inspired by real life events Jana Gana Mana makes you to think, question, challenge and more.
