Several people voiced their enthusiasm for the debut of this crime-thriller drama after catching wind of the sneak peek. Fans urged the creators to release the show on social media, and much to their delight, the team published the official streaming date and other information on January 24, 2023.
On January 23, 2023, SonyLIV announced the show’s official release date on Twitter. Welcome to Jehanabad, “a land of love, conflict, and revolution,” said the statement. A few hours later, a second tweet with the subject line “Can love survive the war? Of Love & War: #Jehanabad
Jehanabad has been dubbed the tale of love and conflict by its creators. The official synopsis of the programme, which was also published by the production team along with the trailer announcement, was as follows: “Jehanabad is a drama set in 2005, when innocent love and the country’s chaos are building concurrently and doomed to collide. Abhimanyu Singh, a college lecturer, and Kasturi Mishra, one of his students, are falling in love while the Naxalites plot the greatest jailbreak in Indian history to release Deepak Kumar, a seasoned Naxal commander. Love, sorrow, treachery, and eventually the human spirit’s resiliency are all prominent themes in the narrative. What will occur if love and conflict collide? What fate is in store for the citizens of Jehanabad?
Jehanabad, a film by Rajeev Barnwal and Satyanshu Singh, stars well-known actors including Ritwik Bhowmik, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Rajat Kapoor, Sunil Sinha, Satyadeep Mishra, Rajesh Jais, and Sonal Jha. Xoaher Musavvir has been the show’s director of photography in the interim.
Rajeev Barnwal wrote the plot, the dialogue, and the script for Jehanabad, which is being produced by Indranil Chakraborty under the Studio NEXT label. Acclaimed director Sudhir Mishra also helped as the showrunner.
