Major Movie Review: Adivi Sesh’s ‘Major’ gets terrific response with an engaging second half and brilliance performance.

“Major” follows the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an Indian Army officer. Sandeep was killed in a bomb blast and shot dead in Mumbai on 26 November 2008.

As a child, Sandeep Unnikrishnan (Adivi Sesh) had only one dream- to wear a uniform (Navy or Army). Initially, his parents (Prakash Raj and Revathi) were disappointed with his career plans, but when they realized that he was serious about serving the nation, they fired him.

After joining the Army, he soon became the NSG Commander and was promoted to Commando Coach. He married his childhood friend Isha (Saiee Manjrekar). Sandeep comes forward to lead the mission despite the fact that the coaches were not involved in the operations when the terrorists attacked Mumbai in 2008. The rest of the film is his brave act.

As Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Adivu Sesh exhibits excellent performance. He shows great improvement in emotional scenes. His physique and body language fit well. Sesh holds the picture throughout. The producers (directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka with a screenplay by Adivi Sesh) have divided the film into two parts – a part of his life from childhood to his military career. The first half of the film is about this. The latter part of the film is dedicated to the Mumbai action. The writer and director are a sold out cripple of every event that happens in his life. The small incidents that took place in childhood and adolescence shaped his thinking.

At one point in his life, Sandeep is faced with a question – what is a soldier? He did not have the right answer. Sandeep assured the commander that he would live in return for his question. This scene echoes the battle he led to the Mumbai operation. Both parts of the film are structured that way.

The story has limitations because it is centered on a man with a great mission. So, the producers tried to dramatize the romantic episodes and his early life for business reasons. But somehow, the first half of the film is not so useful, while the second half portions are highly emotional. Prakash Raj and Revathi are fantastic again. Prakash Raj’s emotional talk is the highlight of the film, while Revathi’s final breakup sweeps the mind. Saiee Manjrekar was last qualified. Sobhita Dhulipala and Murali Sharma are talented in their short roles.

The action blocks in the final moments are also fantastic. ” “Major” – A perfect tribute to the brave heart – Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Adivi Sesh and his team have taken an impressive biography.
