There were rumours that actor-director Raghava Lawrence had been chosen to play the protagonist in Rathna Kumar of Aadai fame’s next film last year. We now know that the project has been approved, and Nayanthara has even been chosen by the producers to portray the female lead. The pre-production work is ongoing, and the creators hope to begin production in a month.
Rathna Kumar told us, “Talks are on with the actors, and everything is in the earliest stages,” when we phoned him to ask about the development. Leo (Lokesh Kanagaraj’s feature with Vijay, for which he is one of the writers), on which I am now working, is what I will be working on by the end of this month.
We were also told by the filmmaker that his forthcoming film will only be a horror movie. Lawrence is presently filming two of the most anticipated sequels: Karthik Subbaraj’s action thriller Jigarthanda 2 and P Vasu’s horror comedy Chandramukhi 2.
Nayanthara is now working on Atlee’s Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and will be the Woman Superstar’s first Bollywood film.
