The big January 12 Pongal theatrical debut of “Varisu” is getting near. The crew has prepared some amazing marketing for the movie and the trailer and other updates are on the way from the producers. Aside from Tamil Nadu, the USA market gives Tamil films a lot of attention, and the lucrative country has produced strong box office results for the genre. The Vijay-starring movie “Varisu” is also expected to have a strong debut; it will be playing in over 600 theatres in the USA (over 400 for the Tamil version and over 200 for the Telugu version).
The premiere of “Varisu” is scheduled for January 11 at 4:30 PM (or January 12 at 4 AM IST), and the region’s distributor has reserved a record number of screens for Vijay’s movie. The first performance’s bookings are already available, and demand for the seats has already started.
At the box office, “Varisu” will compete with Ajith’s “Thunivu,” and booking for its first performances will also start on December 29. However, because Vijay’s most recent films performed the best in the market, “Varisu” is predicted to outperform “Thunivu” in the USA market.
According to reports, the “Varisu” trailer will debut on January 1 while the “Thunivu” video will appear the day before.
