STR’s birthday special: The mass Pathu Thala ‘Namma Satham’ SONG VIDEO is out – A. R. Rahman weaves magic! Pathu Thala, directed by Obeli N Krishna, stars Silambarasan TR, Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalamm, Anu Sithara among others
The moment Silambarasan TR’s fans have been waiting for has finally arrived, as well as his gift to everyone who has been sending him birthday wishes (February 3). The eagerly anticipated first single “Namma Satham” from the multi-talented star’s upcoming action movie, Pathu Thala, has been released along with a video showcasing the magic fans can expect when the gangster drama opens in theatres around the world on March 30.
Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman is the composer of Pathu Thala, who has also sung the “Namma Satham” track with Yogi Sekar, which has lyrics written by Vivek and choreography by Sandy master. The film is directed by Obeli N. Krishna of Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame and produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja’s Studio Green in association with Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios
Simbu can be seen dancing in the Pathu Thala first single video against a temple backdrop and to the menacing vocals of A. R. Rahman, who once more raises the tempo of the song with his menacing and distinctive voice. Since it became known that STR would be portraying a don named AGR and Gautham Karthik would be appearing as a police officer, there has been tremendous buzz surrounding the movie. Along with Silambarasan, Gautham Karthik appears in the “Namma Satham” song video, dancing to the upbeat beats of A. R. Rahman. Malayalam actress Anu Sithara also makes an appearance.
The characters played by Simbu and Gautham Karthik in Pathu Thala are reportedly based on those of Dr. Shivarajkumar and Srimurali in Narthan’s 2017 Kannada film Mufti. Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, Redin Kingsley, and Manushyaputhiran are a few additional cast members in the Tamil version of the Kannada blockbuster who play crucial roles. After the amazing box office triumphs of Maanaadu (2021) and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part I: The Kindling (2022), Silambarasan will be aiming for a hat trick with Pathu Thala.
