At the ongoing San Diego Comic Con in the US, Prabhas and Kamal Haasan unveiled the first glimpse of ‘Kalki 2898AD.’ The teaser showcases a dystopian future where a malevolent ruler wields sinister technology and dark powers to dominate the world. Those under attack suffer severe and horrific treatment in this tumultuous world.
During the recent San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) event in the US, fans eagerly anticipated the unveiling of ‘Project-K,’ a highly-awaited multilingual sci-fi movie directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. The event, titled ‘This is Project K: First Glimpse of India’s Mytho-Sci-fi Epic,’ saw actors Prabhas and Kamal Haasan releasing the teaser and announcing the film’s official title, ‘Kalki 2898AD.’

The teaser provided a sneak peek into the futuristic world of ‘Kalki 2898AD,’ depicting a world engulfed in turmoil and ruled by dark powers and sinister technology. Amidst this chaos, a heroic warrior, portrayed by Prabhas, rises to safeguard his world, while Deepika’s character, an army recruit, appears to be battling emotional turmoil. Amitabh Bachchan’s character is also shown as a fierce warrior wearing bandages.
The teaser hints at a gripping storyline with the line, “When the world is taken over by darkness, a force will arise. The end begins now,” leaving fans intrigued. Some have drawn comparisons to inspirations from Star Wars and Marvel.
The ‘Project-K’ team, including Prabhas and co-star Rana Daggubati, attended the SDCC event, where they were warmly welcomed by the crowd. Kamal Haasan later joined the team, adding to the excitement surrounding the film.
Prior to the SDCC event, the first looks of Prabhas and Deepika’s characters were unveiled, receiving mixed reactions from fans. Disha Patani is also part of the film’s cast. C Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies has produced the much-anticipated movie ‘Kalki 2898AD.’
