Rajinikanth dubs for new scenes in Baba, and AR Rahman asks for a private screening.

A photo of the superstar dubbing for some new scenes that will be added to Rajinikanth’s 2002 supernatural action-drama Baba has surfaced on social media as the film prepares for a re-release.

Rajinikanth’s supernatural action drama Baba from 2002 will be rereleased, which will be a treat for the star’s fans. A picture of the celebrity voice actor has made its way onto social media while the audience waits to see the movie in a new form. Additionally, the filmmakers have been asked to set up a preview of the new edit so that music legend A R Rahman, who composed the songs for Baba, can improve this work as well.

For those who are unaware, Baba was released in theatres on August 15, 2002, but box office results were below expectations. Nearly two decades later, the drama is currently being re-edited from a completely new perspective, and every frame is being digitally improved with colour grading in accordance with current technology.

The Rajinikanth PR team released a press release after learning of the re-release, which stated, “The movie is currently preparing for a new screening with a fresh look and an entirely new angle of editing. Additionally, using current technology, every frame is digitally improved with colour grading (sic). All of the film’s songs, including “Maya Maya” and “Shakti Kodu,” which feature scintillating music by AR Rahman, have been remixed and converted to use the Dolby Mix sound system.”
