The movie is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar while the music is given by Anirudh Ravichander.
The eagerly awaited movie “Jailer,” starring superstar Rajinikanth, is drawing closer to its theatrical release, and fans are eagerly anticipating new updates about the film. Sun Pictures, the production company, previously announced the official theatrical release date of August 10 through a promo on Twitter. In July, the first song promo video was unveiled, confirming the upcoming release of the first single from the film. Now, another exciting update has emerged.
According to media reports, the song release ceremony for “Jailer” will be held on July 29. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and featuring music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the highly anticipated soundtrack for the movie will be unveiled at the end of the month. The release ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.
Initially, the release ceremony dates of July 23 or 24 were considered, but it was ultimately decided by superstar Rajinikanth himself to hold it on July 29. Recently, Sun Pictures released the promo video for the first song of the film on YouTube. In a humorous and interesting video, director Nelson enters musician Anirudh’s studio and offers prayers to a poster of Rajinikanth for a successful outcome. However, Anirudh insists on focusing on the song rather than a promo video. Director Nelson exits the room and announces that the first single song of the movie, titled “Kaavaalaa,” featuring Tamannah Bhatia, will be released on July 6. The video also features Anuraja Kamraj, who is collaborating with Anirudh on the film’s music.
The teaser of “Jailer,” released by the makers in May, created a storm of excitement among netizens who found it thrilling and captivating. The majority of the film’s scenes were shot in Kerala and Hyderabad, with reports suggesting that it is a comedy thriller revolving around Rajinikanth’s character as a jailer. A significant portion of the movie was filmed within a prison setting.
In addition to Rajinikanth, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Tamannaah Bhatia, Jackie Shroff, Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Yogi Babu, Jaffer Sadiq, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan in prominent roles. Superstar Mohanlal is also reported to make an extended cameo appearance. “Jailer” is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan.
