Selena Gomez has been outspoken about her medical issues, particularly her battle with lupus. Internet people occasionally find a way to comment on, criticise, and humiliate her for the same, though. Speaking of which, the 30-year-old singer recently retaliated against a troll who mocked her hand shakes in a video. Continue reading to learn more about this.

Selena Gomez reminds the troll about her lupus illness.

According to Buzzfeed, Selena recently shared a video on TikTok displaying her beauty routine with a variety of goods she got in PR. The video’s caption said, “PSA.” Most of these items were gifts to me. I don’t just roll around everywhere like that. Before washing, remove makeup with any serum. It divides it up well. When removing makeup, gently wash your eyes with a sponge to avoid damaging them. Okay, I’m done trying to seem knowledgeable. While many fans praised Selena for being genuine and true to herself, some criticised her for utilising the Miley Cyrus song Never Be Me in the music video.

Others felt the need to comment on Selena’s trembling hands as she sprayed micellar water on a sponge. Even worse, a TikTok user mocked the Only Murders in the Building actress in a now-deleted video on the app, screaming, “Oh my gosh, what are you doing?!”

Selena allegedly reminded the viewer of her illness in the video’s comments section and emphasised that the shaking in her hands was a side effect of the lupus medicine she was taking. “Lol I shake because of my lupus meds,” she wrote. Read my disclaimer as well. I’m not a professional (laughing emoji).

When Selena Gomez disclosed her lupus diagnosis

In 2014, Selena Gomez received a chronic auto-immune illness diagnosis. She additionally underwent a kidney donation from Francia Raisa in 2017 as a result of lupus. In the documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, which was released in 2022, she talked openly about the physical and mental health issues she had to deal with. It simply aches, she said. For example, as soon as I get up in the morning, I instantly begin to cry because everything hurts.
