Shamshera is an action film produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films and directed by Karan Malhotra. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in a dual role. Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist role. This film also features Vaani Kapoor, Ronit Roy, Saurabh Shukla and Ashutosh Rana. It is one of the most expensive Hindi films. Cinematography was handled by Anay Goswamy. Editing was done by Shivkumar V. Panicker. Soundtrack and background score by Mithoon. Lyrics by Mithoon, Karan Malhotra, and Piyush Mishra.
The story follows a marauding tribe and their struggle for freedom against British rule. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on 22 July 2022.
