The first day of box office receipts for James Cameron’s movie Avatar: The Way of Water show strong growth.

James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water was released in India on December 16. On Day 1, the film’s box office receipts fell short of those of Avengers: Endgame.

Finally here is the Avatar sequel! The 2009 film Avatar’s sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water, debuted in Indian theatres on December 16. The movie with the all-time largest box office take was James Cameron’s Avatar, which brought in $2.9 billion globally. Trade estimates indicate that Avatar: The Way of Water is continuing along the same path as when movie first launched in Indian theatres, earning a record-breaking Rs 38 crore. The result was that the movie had the second-biggest Hollywood debut ever in India.

Avatar: The Way of Water is off to a spectacular start at the box office in India. The James Cameron-directed film allegedly earned between Rs 38.50 and Rs 40.50 crore on its first day on December 16. Avatar 2 is currently the second-highest box office release in the Indian market as a result. First up came the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame, which made Rs 53.10 crore on its first day.

The South Indian markets, particularly those in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka, were a crucial factor in Avatar 2’s commercial success. They earned a total of Rs 22 crore. North, east, and west Indian marketplaces all have high occupancy rates. On their opening day, Avatar 2 handily surpassed films such as Spiderman: No Way Home, Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, and Avengers: Infinity War.

Avatar’s sequel, The Way of Water, came out on December 16 more than ten years later. The Sully family, comprised of Jake, Neytiri, and their kids, is followed throughout the film. The hypothetical situation is based on how Sullys reacts in Steven Lang’s book when Quaritch and his tribe assault them. The sequel focuses mostly on maintaining families and strengthening interpersonal bonds. Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana, and Kate Winslet all have prominent roles in the film. Released in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, Avatar: The Way of Water.a
