The newest film “Varasudu,” starring Tamil superstar Vijay, has recently sparked a lot of debate in Telugu communities. This is due to the fact that the film’s producer, Dil Raju, is releasing both the original Tamil version and the Telugu adaptation simultaneously, and in Tollywood, he is up against huge names like Megastar’s Waltair Veerayya and Balayya’s Veera Simha Reddy. And now some intriguing rumours regarding the film’s first protagonist have surfaced.
Since then, the star hero has developed a close relationship with director Vamsi Paidipally, who worked with Mahesh Babu to create the hit movie Maharshi. Later, it was revealed that he will be directing Mahesh once again, however that project fizzled out. But it has just come to light that the filmmaker originally wrote a script for Mahesh, who later rejected it. The director then gave Vijay the script.
Dil Raju is alleged to have forced Ram Charan to listen to this before contacting this Tamil superstar. However, Charan ultimately chose S Shankar’s movie over Vamsi’s narrative, giving Vijay the role.
Although director Dil Raju claims that the absence of Mahesh and Charan’s dates led them to approach Vijay for this project, insiders claim that neither Telugu actor has been overly enthused by the plot given that they have already worked on similar movies. The movie’s plot is also reported to be extremely similar to that of Maharshi and other Vamsi Paidipally flicks.
