Tamil Nadu Government Awards for Best Films, Actors, Actresses, Directors, Technicians for 6 years from 2009 to 2014 have been announced.
A press release issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu states:-
26 lakhs and 25 thousand to 23 producers as first prize of Rs.2 lakh, second prize of Rs.1 lakh, third prize of Rs.75 thousand and special prize of Rs.75 thousand for the best films selected in the film awards ceremony from 2009 to 2014. A check for Rs. 160 and a gold medal of 5 pounds each for the best actor, actress and technician.
Chinnatrai Awards for the years 2009 to 2013 will give first prize of Rs.2 lakh, second prize of Rs.1 lakh and Lifetime Achievement of the Year Rs. 1 lakh for 20 people and Rs. 25 lakhs and 81 Best Actor, Actress and Technicians are awarded 3 Pound Gold Medals.
