Netflix to stream 18 new Tamil films in 2023 in its attempt to serve regional language cinema fans
Maamannan, Thangalaan, Vaathi, Revolver Rita, and many more Tamil movies are set to release on Netflix post their theatrical release. Ajith’s AK62 to Vikram’s Thangalaan, here’s the list of upcoming Tamil films acquired by Netflix. Besides Ajith Kumar’s AK62, Netflix also owns the streaming rights to Dhanush’s Vaathi, Vikram’s Thangalaan and Chandramukhi 2 among others.

AK62
Ajith Kumar and Nayanthara are the leading actors in the forthcoming Tamil drama film AK62, which is directed by renowned filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. The movie’s production started in late 2022, and it’s scheduled for release sometime in June of current year. Considering this that, we should see AK62 coming to Netflix India by August 2023. The project is being produced by GKM Tamil Kumaran and music is by Anirudh.
Aaryan
Aaryan, the next significant film for Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal, was announced in September 2022. The film is being produced by the actor’s own Vishnu Vishal Studioz and was directed by first-time director Praveen K. Chandramukhi 2
