All life in the world is equal. “The comment I made in the interview has been misunderstood” – clarification given by actress Sai Pallavi.
She posted a video on her Instagram page saying, “I meet all of you to give clarification. The first time I think twice and speak from the mind. The reason is that the comment I made has been misunderstood. In a recent interview, I was questioned ”Are you a right-wing supporter? Or a left-wing supporter?”
To which I said, I was neutral. We must first be human. Only then I say that our signs are everything. I gave two examples, saying that the oppressed must be protected first anyway. I saw the movie ”The Kashmir files”. I had the opportunity to meet the director of the film once 3 months ago. I then told the director that the film affected me and that I regretted the plight of the affected people.
Violence in any form is wrong. It is a great crime in the name of any religion. This is the essence of what I came to say. A lot of people are teaching justice about gang violence on social websites. The other has no right to kill one. Everyone’s life is important as a medical student. Everyone’s life should be treated equally.
Every child born into this world carries every identity. When I went to school every day during my 14 years of schooling, the pledge says, all indians are my brothers and sisters. I promise to be proud to be Indian. All of this is deeply ingrained in me. As children we never discriminated against each other on the basis of caste, religion, race or culture. Whenever I speak, I present my opinion in a neutral manner. But, I am surprised that my opinion was misunderstood. It hurts that important celebrities and websites commented without seeing my interview in its entirety.
Thanks to the souls who stood up for me. Thanks to the souls who raised their voices for me. Thank you all for making me feel that I am not alone.
