Archana Jois is an Indian film model and actress who works in the field of Kannada film and television industry. She is best known for her role as Rocky’s mother in the Kannada film KGF: Chapter 1 and 2. She was born and raised in Bangalore, Karnataka.
She did her schooling at New Oxford English School in Bangalore and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Arts at Natya Institute of Kathak in Bangalore. She also completed her Masters in Fine Arts at Sastra University, Tanjore, Tamil Nadu.
Zee TV made her acting debut in Kannada with the Kannada serial Mahadevi. In that serial she plays the character as Sundari. She is currently playing the lead role in the Kannada serial Durga on Suvarna TV.
She made her film debut in 2019 with the Kannada film K.G.F: Chapter 1 starring Yash and directed by Prasanth Neel. She played the role as Shantamma, Rocky’s(Yash) mother and her performance was appreciated by the audience and fans. The film was one of the best films of 2018. She also reprised her role as Shanthamma in K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022), which is also a blockbuster.
Recently She is very much popularly known for her acting in an Action-Drama Movie KGF: Chapter 1 (2018) and KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) which was written and Directed by Prashant Neel. However the film was released on 21 December 2018 ( Chapter 1) and April 14th 2022 ( Chapter 2). Where she can be seen playing the role of Gangamma/Rocky’s Mother. It has 8.2/10 IMDB ratings as of now.
