The autopsy of popular singer KK, who passed away on Tuesday evening after a show in Kolkata, will be conducted on Wednesday at a government hospital in the city.
Kolkata Police have registered a case of unnatural death in connection with the death of singer Krishnakumar Kunnam, popularly known as KK. The case was registered at the New Market police station.
On Tuesday, May 31, after returning from a show in Kolkata, the singer collapsed at the Grand Hotel within the boundaries of the Newmarket Police Station, hitting a private tree in the city. Police sources said he had injuries in his face and head. An autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday at SSKM Hospital in Kolkata to determine the cause of death. Police will check CCTV footage at the Grand Hotel and talk to hotel staff and event organizers.

His family, including his wife Jyothi and children, have reached Kolkata. The KK family was spotted at the Kolkata airport early on Wednesday morning. The singer’s body will be flown to Mumbai after the autopsy. Composer Pritam has now responded to KK’s death. He said KK led a very disciplined and stress-free life. Pritam expressed her shock and despair over the sudden death of the famous singer.
