Actor Surya’s movie “Soorarai Pottru” was released on OTT platform amid protests from theater owners and distributors. However, it was very well received by the fans. This was followed by Suriya’s film “Jai Bhim” in the lead role which was also released on the OTT platform. This film was also well received.
On the other hand, it cannot be denied that there is a huge dissatisfaction among the fans as they could not watch these two films in theatres. In this situation, these two films are going to be screened in some theatres on the occasion of Suriya’s birthday on 23 July 2022. It is worth noting that the movie Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara and the movie Jai Bhim directed by Gnanavel. Both the films were based on true incidents and became successful.
