After Jailer, Rajinikanth’s next film is titled Lal Salaam.
The title of Aishwarya Rajinikanth‘s upcoming film, Lal Salaam, which will also include her father, actor Rajinikanth, in a special appearance, was revealed by the production team on Saturday along with the title poster.
The Lyca Productions-backed movie will star actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles. In addition to directing, Aishwarya wrote the movie’s screenplay. The poster for Laal Salaam depicts a burning cricket helmet against a backdrop of a protest area, but the plot’s specifics are kept a secret.
Aishwarya will be directing Rajinikanth for the first time in Lal Salaam, marking their first official working relationship. AR Rahman will write the soundtrack, while Vishnu Rangasamy and Ramu Thangaraj will handle the cinematography and art direction, respectively. Pornima Ramasamy is the film’s costume designer, and Pravin Baaskar is its editor.
Lal Salaam will release in theatres in 2023.
Rajinikanth is currently in the middle of filming Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailor. The movie has Sun Pictures’ support. Strong rumours are also circulating that Rajinikanth will collaborate with Don director Cibi Chakravarthy. Lyca Productions is also rumoured to be supporting it, despite the fact that no official announcement has been made in this regard.
