A new poster of Maamannan along with the release date of its trailer is out.
The release date for the Maamannan trailer, featuring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Vadivelu, has been announced by composer AR Rahman. The movie’s composer, Rahman, shared the new information via Twitter. The tweet states that the trailer will debut on June 16. The releasing time has not yet been made public. AR Rahman posted a fresh movie poster along with the release date.
Udhayanidhi Stalin is depicted on the billboard running beside a pack of hounds. The dogs are of the native sighthound breed found only in Tamil Nadu. In Maari Selvaraj’s debut movie, Pariyerum Perumal, a dog of the same breed played a significant symbolic role. It appears that the director is using it as a reoccurring theme in his movies. Vadivelu’s visage is also visible on the poster in the background.
In contrast to his previous comedic roles, Vadivelu plays a melancholy character in the lead role of Maamannan. Speaking on his persona, Maari Selvaraj revealed that Esaki from Kamal Haasan’s Thevar Magan served as inspiration. “Suppose Esaki were to become a king? I’ve envisaged this persona in that way. Esaki (Vadivelu), a household worker and close companion of Periya Thevar (Sivaji Ganesan), appears in Thevar Magan. When he assists Shakti (Kamal Haasan) in opening a contentious temple, he loses his right hand.
Keerthy Suresh and Fahadh Faasil also play prominent parts in Maamannan. These four protagonists’ stories are followed in the movie. It is anticipated that Fahadh will portray the villain in the movie. The movie’s release date has not yet been disclosed; it may do so simultaneously with the trailer.
