Box Office India: Oppenheimer & Barbie do raging business over 2nd weekend despite new release Bro the Avathar

Blockbuster Battle: Oppenheimer and Barbie Dominate the Indian Box Office!

Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan and featuring a stellar cast including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, and Florence Pugh, along with Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, experienced an exceptional second weekend at the Indian box office, even in the face of new big releases such as Bro The Avatar and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Both films showed remarkable growth on Saturday and Sunday, continuing to gain momentum.

After 10 days of its release, Oppenheimer’s total collections in India reached an impressive Rs 91.50 crores nett. As it enters its third weekend, the film is set to join the prestigious Rs 100 crore nett club in India, becoming one of the highest-grossing Hollywood films of the year. So far, only Fast X and Mission Impossible 7 have achieved this milestone in 2023. Notably, Barbie, with collections of Rs 32.75 crores nett, is also on track to breach the Rs 40 crores mark, a remarkable feat considering its limited screen count of 800-850. Moreover, Barbie is making waves globally and is poised to become the highest-grossing film of the year worldwide.

Oppenheimer’s success can be attributed in part to the brand value associated with Christopher Nolan, allowing the film to perform exceptionally well despite its niche appeal. It aims to outpace other mass-appealing films like Mission Impossible 7 and Fast X in terms of global box office earnings.

Here are the day-wise nett India collections of Oppenheimer: Day 1 – Rs. 14.50 crores Day 2 – Rs 17 crores Day 3 – Rs 17 crores Day 4 – Rs 6.75 crores Day 5 – Rs 6.25 crores Day 6 – Rs 5.75 crores Day 7 – Rs 5.25 crores Day 8 – Rs 4.40 crores Day 9 – Rs 7 crores Day 10 – Rs 7.40 crores Total = Rs 91.50 crores nett in 10 days in India

And here are the day-wise nett India collections of Barbie: Day 1 – Rs. 4.40 crores Day 2 – Rs 6 crores Day 3 – Rs 6.70 crores Day 4 – Rs 2.20 crores Day 5 – Rs 2.20 crores Day 6 – Rs 2 crores Day 7 – Rs 1.75 crores Day 8 – Rs 1.50 crores Day 9 – Rs 2.90 crores Day 10 – Rs 3.10 crores

Both Oppenheimer and Barbie continue to perform remarkably well at the box office, delighting audiences and contributing to the success of Hollywood films in India.
