Director Prabhu Solomon has attracted attention with his films including ‘Lee’, ‘Maina’ and ‘Kumki’. He is currently directing a new film named “Sembi”. In a bus going from Kodaikanal to Dindigul with 24 passengers, the events that take place along the way are set in the story. An old bus with a 1985 model is used in the film.
Veteran comedian Kovai Sarala plays a 70-year-old female traveler in the film. Cooku with Comali fame Aswin Kumar and Kovai Sarala are playing the lead roles. The film is named after a little girl who travels by bus. Accordingly, the film is titled “Sembi”.
Nila, a 10-year-old girl from Avinashi, plays the role of Sembi. Kokki movie cinematographer Jeevan has done the cinematography for this film. Director Prabhu Solomon has teamed up with Nivas Prasanna for the first time for music. It comes under the banner of AR Entertainment and Trident Arts. It will be released in Tamil and Telugu languages. Sembi movie digital streaming rights will be bagged by Disney+ Hotstar.
