“Love Today,” Pradeep Ranganathan’s second film, became a huge success. Within a month of its release in November, the film now ranks among the top 10 Tamil movies of 2022. Alongside his own film, “Love Today,” which he also directed, Pradeep Ranganathan made his acting debut as a hero, with Ivana in the lead role. Fans of all ages thoroughly appreciated the contemporary love story, which brought in ten times more money than it cost to produce. Due to the increased attention the movie received, a Hindi remake is apparently in the works.
Ajith’s “Thunivu” producers are said to have paid a hefty sum for the Hindi remake rights to “Love Today,” and the official announcement will be made after the cast and crew have been decided upon. Varun Dhawan, who has always loved South Asian cinema, has translated several of these films into Hindi. The endearing actor will now take the lead in the Hindi adaptation of “Love Today.” But the main thing to keep an eye on is whether Pradeep Ranganathan, who will be making his Bollywood debut, will be directing the Hindi adaptation or whether the producers will choose someone else.
Following the success of the Tamil theatrical version, the film “Love Today” was dubbed into Telugu and released in theatres. Produced on a budget of about Rs 7 crores, the movie has made over Rs 90 crores and turned out to be quite profitable for the producers.
But Boney Kapoor refused
Please note that I have NOT acquired the remake rights of Love Today. All such reports on social media are baseless and fake.
