The Venky Atluri directorial is releasing in Tamil and Telugu on February 17
The creators of Dhanush’s bilingual film Vaathi are hard at work with last-minute promotions before its February 17 Tamil and Telugu releases. The Venky Atluri-directed film is Dhanush’s first appearance of 2023, and despite having great expectations for it, the actor’s fans are crossing their fingers.
The film’s producers intend to hold exclusive premiere screenings in Hyderabad, which will be a first for a Dhanush-starring film. In the project with music by GV Prakash, Samyuktha, Tanikella Bharani, Saikumar, and Samuthirakani play significant parts.
Leo’s production company has a plan to use Vaathi to publicise the Lokesh Kanagaraj film, which stars Vijay as the lead. Together with Vaathi, a marketing trailer for the recently released gangster movie was included. The title announcement video for the Vijay-starring film will be shown at theatres showing Dhanush’s film.
This is a brilliant move by Leo producer Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Productions, who also secured the theatrical rights to Vaathi in Tamil Nadu. To create the necessary buzz, he reportedly intends to show Leo’s promotional film in the majority of the nation’s theatres.
On October 19, Leo, a movie that has been hailed as being pan-Indian, will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. The movie’s title will be the same in all four languages, and Netflix just paid a record fee for the digital rights to the film.
Cinephiles are interested to see how the decision by team Leo to work with Vaathi’s producers will turn out in the long term. Leo will be Vijay’s second film in 2023 following the January 11 release of Varisu.
