A lawyer has sent a legal notice to director Mani Ratnam and actor Vikram. The legal notice stated that historical details of the Cholas were omitted from the film Ponniyin Selvan. The history of the Chola kings who ruled Thanjavur, the film is based on the popular novel “Ponniyin Selvan” written by kalki.
In a notice sent by lawyer Selvam from Korukkuppet, Chennai shows that the historical details are hidden in the film Ponniyin Selvan as the Cholas did not have a “Tilagam/Tilak”(traditional mark).
