Shiva Kandukuri, known for his debut film “Choosi Chudangane,” has ventured into various acting projects, including “Gamanam” and “Meet Cute.” In his latest outing, “Manu Charitra,” directed by Bharath Peddagani, Shiva showcases his action-hero side. Produced by Narala Srinivas Reddy under Proddutur Talkies, the film also stars Megha Akash, Pragathi Shrivastav, and Priya Vadlamani in prominent roles.
After facing several delays, “Manu Charitra” finally hit the theaters in June. Despite garnering a moderate response from both critics and audiences, the film didn’t perform well at the box office. Now, the movie has made its way to the popular OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video, where it will be premiering soon.
The story is set in Warangal and revolves around the life of Shiva Kandukuri’s character, Manu Durgaraj. Manu, a fun-loving youngster, falls in love with his college mate, Jennifer. However, their relationship faces opposition from their parents. As Manu experiences various relationships and breakups, he finds himself on a self-destructive path, causing concern among his loved ones.
The film’s plot revolves around the trigger that leads to Durgaraj’s transformation. Actor Daali Dhananjaya, known for his work in the Kannada film “Pushpa,” plays the antagonist. The supporting cast includes Srikanth Iyengar, Madhu Nandhan, Harishita Chowdary, Garima Kaushal, and Suhas. Gopi Sundar composed the music, and the film’s crew includes editor Prawin Pudi, cinematographer Rahul Shrivatsav, and art director Upendar Reddy. “Manu Charitra” promises to be a commercial entertainer with elements of love, action, humor, and intense emotions.
