National Award for Soorarai Pottru is a result of good work, a lot of hard work: Aparna Balamurali

G.V. Prakash, Sudha Kongara, Aparna Balamurali and others have expressed their happiness about getting the National Award.

Soorarai Pottru Actress Aparna Balamurali said,

“Yes, I definitely worked hard for the film and Sudha Kongara mam was with me throughout the journey. I would say it is the result of good work and a lot of hard work. There is satisfaction that the film has been recognized. Yes, this award will motivate me to work harder in my next films.

When the notification came I called Sudha madam. She was very happy. It goes to her. She is the one who inspires all of us to do our best. It all happened under her leadership, especially for me. But she gave me a complete year to prepare for this role. I knew I had to live up to the trust she had in me and I should never let her down. That was always in my mind and that was my driving force.

I did a workshop with Kalairani Madam and the most important thing I learned was how to learn what I have learned so far in my career. I was an actress when I started acting in Soorarai Pottru. I have been in the industry for four to five years and have done more than 13 films in Malayalam and Tamil. So, it was difficult for me to learn everything. But that process helped me a lot in acting and speaking that slang. I started again from scratch. I started learning what to do and how to do it. The hardest thing to learn is to go on set with a clean slate and start from scratch. It is impossible. But it made a lot of difference.”
