Surya, who was also the producer of the film, took a bold decision to offer the film for direct streaming. Filmmaker Sudha Kongara made the film based on the memoir “Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey”. A memoir written by G.R. Gopinath who revolutionized the Indian commercial aviation industry by introducing low cost airline tickets to the working class.
