The student who touched actor Aparna Balamurali inappropriately at Ernakulam Law College has been suspended.
He is a second-year LLB student by the name of Vishnu. The action was taken by the Ernakulam Law College Staff Council.
A show-cause notice was previously issued to the student. If the student’s response is unsatisfactory, the principal threatened to take further action. Aparna Balamurali went there to promote the film “Thangam.”
Everyone was complaining about the young man’s invasive behaviour on social media, and Aparna’s response was deemed to be less than sufficient.
The student who went on stage to present Aparna with flowers during the promotion event that Vineeth Sreenivasan and others attended grabbed her hand and attempted to place his hand over her shoulder.
‘What, isn’t it a law college?’ Aparna later wrote on Facebook.
